Official FormaHoof ® Group Training (price per person)

FormaHoof Training for Experienced Podiatrists with Dr. Debra Taylor.

2 Day Training for a group of 8 people with all training materials included.

(Once 8 people have registered, a date will be scheduled for the training)

This training has been designed to get in-depth knowledge and great experience to provide you with the confidence to start using Formahoof to address a wide range of hoof care issues.

The training will be done on horses. Radiographs will be taken before and after the FormaHoof applications to evaluate the changes and discuss how you can adjust the FormaHoof application to get the results you need.

Every case is different and the beauty of FormaHoof is how it can be easily customized to help each case. You will learn the best practices, tips, and tricks on how to use FormaHoof to help horses with different hoof pathologies.

Requirements
In order to attend the training, you will need to purchase at least a
FormaHoof Starter Kit plus the training from our online store.

DAY 1:

8:00 --- Meet and Greet, Coffee

8:30 --- Recognizing a healthy hoof.

9:00 --- Hands-on – Tubes, tips, guns, mold spray, cutting the mesh

9:45 – Live Demo on 1 Foot as a Group – basic felt pad application

10:00 - Radiograph horses

10:30 – 12:30 LIVE HORSE LABS (2 teams of 2 trimmers per horse) –

              Front feet – 2 teams will trim, prep and apply front molds to one horse

              Hind Feet – 2 teams will trim, prep and apply hind molds to one horse

12:30 – 1:30  Lunch  (Questions and Answers)

1:30 – 5:30 LIVE HORSE LABS (2 teams of 2 trimmers per horse) – TRADE PLACES

              Trade places – holder from AM pumps polymer and visa versa

              Front feet teams from AM apply hinds and visa versa

              Front feet – 2 teams will trim prep and apply front molds to one horse

              Hind Feet – 2 teams will trim prep and apply hind molds to one horse

END of Day 1 – Everyone has had hands-on experience with all aspects of the application – 8 molds applied

DAY 2:  Lecture and Clinical Cases

7:45 – 10:45 am – Lecture – optimizing success with common scenarios

Thin soles; Managing Solar Angle and HPA; High:Low Syndrome; Navicular Syndrome; Contracted heels; Chronic Laminitis; White Line; Deep Wall Cracks

              To cover: impression material, felt pads, pour in soft polymer, dremmels; second pours

11:00 – 11:30 LUNCH

11:45 – 4:30 pm

Each team will be involved in the removal and re-application of FormaHoof molds on at least one Clinical case. (2-4 cases)

4:30 – 6:00 – Case Discussion and Radiography Review

END of Day 2 - Everyone has had hands-on experience removing a FormaHoof application and reapplying FormaHoof to a clinical case.
